Can you bring your own personal calculator to the testing site?
A basic four-function calculator will be provided for you. You cannot bring your own calculator.
How many times can I take the exam?
You might need to wait 30 days before retaking the test depending on your school. Contact your school for more information.
Can you flag questions to return to later?
Yes, you can return to a question you have completed or skipped but only in your current section.
Are you allowed scrap paper for the at home test?
Scratch paper may be used during the exam. You cannot use the paper before the exam and must be destroyed following the completion of the exam. Make sure to let your proctor know you are using scrap paper and to show them the paper that you have before you start your exam.
If someone is taking the test from home, can we wear earplugs or headphones?
In most schools, you are not allowed to unless you have an accommodation. Make sure to reach out to your school in order to find out if you are allowed to.

What is the difference between the TEAS 6 and the TEAS 5?
The TEAS 6 is the most updated version of the exam. The TEAS 5 is an old exam.
How long should I study for the TEAS?
This really depends on person to person. We recommend giving yourself as much time as possible to start studying so that you give yourself enough time. However, we have seen plenty of people pass with as little as a week of studying.

What sections are there?
Reading, Math, Science, and English and Language Usage.
How many questions are there in each section?
There is a Reading section that contains 53 questions that are timed for 64 minutes. The Mathematics section consists of 36 questions that are timed for 54 minutes. The Science section of the TEAS exam has 53 questions and are timed for 63 minutes. Finally, the English and Language Usage section has 28 questions which are timed for 28 minutes.
Can you still pass the teas test without taking your A&P classes?
